“Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.”

I’ve decided to be thankful for SOMETHING every day. Check it out:

“In everything give thanks.” 1 Thess. 5:18

“O give thanks unto the LORD for He is good.” Psalm 107:1

“Offer unto God thanksgiving.” Psalm 50:14

“I will offer unto thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving.” Psalm 116:7

“O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things.” Psalm 98:1

” I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.” Psalm 35:18

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Col. 3:17

The Bible is FULL of verses about giving thanks. I want to do that. Gratitude is the absence of selfishness. If I’m looking at what has been given to me–or withheld from me–I won’t be thinking, “Woe is me this and that.” Let’s strive for thankfulness.

So if you see my Facebook posts and think that I’ve lost it because it’s March, not November…now you know. I’m doing 150 days of thankfulness, starting today. Even if I don’t post it, rest assured I wrote it down in my journal or talked to God about it. How can you show Him how thankful you are? How can you let others know that you love the Blesser more than the blessings?

  1. What a wonderful, insightful reminder for me to give thanks to The Lord each and every day for His blessings on me. You, my precious granddaughter, are one of these blessings I’m so thankful for every single day! Praying for you and loving you forever and a day.
